Kelly Picciurro was born in Marlboro, NJ and lived there until she entered college in the fall of 2009. She recently graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in psychology. She will enter a physical therapy program in the fall of 2014 in order to fulfill her wish to become a physical therapist. Kelly realized she wanted to go into the field of physical therapy after working in a PT clinic in Maryland and two hospitals, one in New York City and one in Washington, DC. Kelly also enjoys working out and staying fit, going to the beach, and traveling around the world with her family. She plans to open her own practice once she graduates from school. She is very excited to be part of the ActiveCare PT team and knows that she will gain great knowledge from this experience, preparing her for school and what will come after she graduates.
Kelly returns to the ActiveCare Physical Therapy staff working again as a PT aide. She has just finished her 2nd year at Rutgers School of Health Professions, Doctor of Physical Therapy program. She will spend her summer working alongside Dr. Wu to further add to her academic knowledge. At the end of the summer, Kelly returns to school to finish the program in clinic.

Stephanie is a Brooklyn resident with a BA in Women and Gender Studies from Stony Brook University. Stephanie gained experience in the physical therapy field by working as a Physical Therapy Technician in the U.S. Army Reserves. She managed 4 colleagues as well as provided hands-on care to her military patients. Stephanie is currently taking classes to fulfill her prerequisites to become a Physical Therapist.
She has a growing interest in yoga and is excited about working at ActiveCare. She is now learning how to incorporate yoga techniques into physical therapy rehabilitation.
Patrice is a Bronx native whose parents hail from the island of Jamaica. Patrice graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in social science from the University at Buffalo. She has her eyes set on the field of occupational therapy after volunteering in occupational therapy settings during her college years. Patrice demonstrates a strong interest in the rehabilitation field, a thirst for knowledge and a strong desire to help others; traits that will make her an excellent practitioner. Patrice plans to pursue her career goals as soon as possible. Her hobbies include yoga and Zumba classes. She is excited to be a part of the ActiveCare team and enjoys providing the best quality care to our patients.
Dipika is a resident of New Jersey after having recently moved from India. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Bangalore, India. She has completed related coursework in the United States and now has the equivalent of a Master’s Degree. She has also received additional training in manual therapy back in India. Currently, she is studying for her Physical Therapy licensing exam to be able to practice in the United States. Dipika plans to further her career by obtaining a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Dipika spends most of her time relaxing with her family and volunteering at temple gatherings and functions. She is constantly promoting her career knowledge by advising others on staying fit and healthy through exercises.

Monique Dupree is a New Jersey native who earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ.
Monique believes in using a holistic approach when treating patients by integrating postural education and core exercise with selective strengthening. She utilizes carefully-selected exercises to not only target the area being treated but also to enhance overall movement and quality of life for her patients.
Prior to joining ActiveCare, Monique worked in a clinic that specialized in diagnoses of the lower back and neck, integrating functional movement to prepare patients for safe discharge.
Monique is licensed in New York and New Jersey and is looking forward to taking courses to further develop her manual skills in the areas of sports taping and peripheral joint and spinal mobilizations.
In her free time, Monique enjoys spending time in the city, dining and taking in the arts.
Magdalena comes from a small city in Poland and has always enjoyed athletics, particularly Taekwondo. She obtained a First Dan certification in Taekwondo and participated in tournaments in Ankara, Turkey and Yeoseo, South Korea. Magda also earned scholarships to study sports management and physical education in Poland and Greece, earning a Master’s degree along with certifications in athletics instruction and classical massage.
Magda joined the Polish army as a platoon commander and went to Afghanistan as a member of the Civil Military Cooperation for NATO and ISAF (International Security Assistance Force.) When she returned to Poland she participated in international counterterrorism training.
After serving in the army, Magda decided to move to the US, and earned a fitness certificate at Hunter College. She loves the field of physical education and helping others change their lives for the better. She enjoys using her skills to help ActiveCare’s patients and plans to study to become a physical therapist.
In her spare time, Magda enjoys volunteering at Heavenly Angels Animal Rescue in Ozone Park, Queens.
Jasmine Abraham is a native New Yorker currently residing in Queens. She graduated with a BA in psychology from St. John’s University. Throughout her undergraduate career, Jasmine worked hands-on with patients in clinical settings, and found her passion for the field of medicine. Patients began to inspire her in every aspect of her life.
Jasmine brings that passion to ActiveCare, utilizing her knowledge and skills to provide the best care possible for all of our patients. She is committed to excellence and attention to detail in patient services and administration.
Jasmine is currently obtaining her Master’s in public administration, with a specialization in health policy, at CUNY Baruch. In her spare time, Jasmine loves enjoying the company of her friends and family, following L.A. Lakers basketball, and reading articles on current medical research. She also loves animals, especially her 3-year old dog, a Coton de Tulear named Champagne.

ActiveCare Physical Therapy is excited to welcome our newest PT Aide Sara Inge! Sara is a Virginia native now living in Manhattan. In 2012 she graduated from Randolph-Macon College in Virginia with a BA in sociology. After shadowing physical therapists at two clinics in Virginia, she grew more passionate about physical therapy and decided to pursue it as a career.
Sara has worked on completing her prerequisites for PT school and is continuing to learn more about the field. She also has a growing interest in Pilates, and loves to take Pilates classes in her free time. She hopes to get teaching certification so that she can eventually integrate her knowledge of physical therapy with Pilates.
Sara loves to stay fit, learn more about nutrition, try out new and different exercise classes, and go for a run in the city. Sara is very excited to be a member of the ActiveCare team and enjoys providing high-quality care to our patients.
