In the second part of our series on what makes ActiveCare Physical Therapy the best Physical Therapists in NYC, ActiveCare’s Front Desk Patient Services Administrators Annie Santos and Jasmine Abraham continue answering our questions. Keep reading to see why the best patients come to ActiveCare!
Annie: We have all types of patients, from fashion designers to professional volleyball players to chefs and others working in the food industry. The variety keeps things interesting!
Jasmine: And the staff here comes together to create a familial environment for each individual. Here you’re not just a name or a face, but a unique person that we’re invested in healing.
Annie: When we see patients walk through our door for the first time, we see the pain in their eyes and all we want to do is get them treated to relieve the pain that their injuries are causing them. When it’s time to discharge them, it’s a bittersweet feeling because we get so attached to seeing our patients twice or sometimes three times a week. Seeing them go makes us very sad, but happy at the same time, because we know that we did a great job in getting them better and back to their normal lives.
Jasmine: Through patient satisfaction, sometimes we gain lifelong relationships with our patients. And we love it when they’re happy with our services and refer their friends and family to us!

What makes ActiveCare the best Physical Therapy in NYC? We spoke with ActiveCare’s Front Desk Patient Services Administrators Annie Santos and Jasmine Abraham to get their thoughts on the subject. Read the Q&A below:
Annie: Before working here, I worked at another practice that was nothing compared to ActiveCare Physical Therapy. At that facility, we would see 180 patients a day, and patients were only treated for 10 minutes – and most of the time, patients were lucky if they received the whole 10 minutes. ACPT treats patients like friends and family – friends and family they want to help feel better and get better. Here patients typically receive 30 minutes of manual therapy and 30 minutes of supervised exercise, as well as careful instructions for their home exercise programs.
Jasmine: As a smaller practice, we have the ability to give our patients the highest caliber of treatment. We strive to be the best. Patients receive one-on-one care from our licensed physical therapists who have undergone vigorous training and continuing education. Patients wouldn’t normally receive the individualized time and care they receive here at a larger facility.
Annie: We focus on setting up new patients with complete charts and all the information they need to begin their care here at ACPT. We schedule patients for future visits as far in advance as possible in order to reserve their preferred days and times, and we remind those with busy schedules to come in for treatment. We get to know everyone and make them feel like they’re at home and not in a doctor’s office.
Jasmine: We ensure each patient experiences a concierge level of service by establishing a positive rapport on the phone and in person. We make sure to keep outcome measurement tests, PT notes and insurance authorizations up to date. We strive to keep the patients satisfied from their first visit to their last.
