KT Kinesiology Tape & AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament

KT Tape is the official sponsor of the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament. KT tape is an elastic therapeutic tape that helps with muscle activation, reducing pain, supporting joints and moving fluid. This KT tape application was used to offload or decompress this athlete’s knee joint so she could jump without pain.

AVP Medical Director, Dr. Karena Wu utilizes KT tape in the medical tent on all of the professional beach volleyball athletes. It is a non-medicinal and non-chemical modality that is easy to apply, effects change quickly and the treatment from the tape can last for days. It is lightweight and also gives a sense of support or stability when the tape is on the skin.
